Noah, 2 1/2 years, Makenna, 14 months:
Makenna has added a some more words to her vocabulary, “please,” “down,” and “book” to name a few. She’s also understanding us pretty good. If you ask she will “get a book” or “get her shoes.” If she thinks it’s time to go outside she will get her shoes (her favorites are yellow sandals w/ a flower) and bring them to you, lift her foot and say “on.” She’s starting to become a “daddy’s girl.” During the day she will hand me the phone and say “daddy?”- meaning she wants to talk to him.
Noah seems to have done a little growing up this past month as well. When Makenna started walking it appeared Noah thought that meant she was fair game to push down all the time. He was getting numerous of time outs a day for a while there for pushing and it was getting the the point that when Noah ran near her, Makenna would cry before anything happened because she assumed she would be pushed. I think the time-outs are FINALLY working because he has turned a corner in the last week and is not pushing nearly as much! He’s even started being really sweet and nice to Makenna at times, playing with her, giving her a toy to play with, and ”talking” to her, he has a really cute “baby voice” that he uses when he talks to her. It’s really fun watching them start to interact. It’s exciting that the weather is getting nice because the kids love playing outside, and now that Makenna doesn’t have to be held all the time, it’s fun watching them run around and play.
Noah also has a new favorite TV show, (although we still watch Backyardigans) ”Chuggington.” It’s about trains and Noah gets his own trains out and plays along with the show sometimes. He’s also just learning how to pedal is tricycle. I know I’ve said it before, but Noah has a ton of energy, always moving/running or wanting to play something.

Hey Ragan! We sure miss your cute family! How are things on Moccasin Trail? We are slowly adjusting to life in Idaho… It’s cold. =) We miss our AZ friends and family terribly, though. Did anyone move into our old house yet? We heard it was supposed to sell earlier this month, but not sure if it did or not. I hope you get some good neighbors in there! Take care!
