Below are some quotes from our family and friends that for one reason or another we found funny and feel they deserve to be published on Mooneyweb. While some of the quotes have the “had to be there feel” we still think they are funny enough to share with you, especially because we bring the quotes up often. If you feel you have been misquoted, or want your quote deleted or think you have said a quote in our presence that is worthy of being put on mooneyweb and it has been ommited, feel free to email us. 

 ”This is WONDERFUL!!!”-Michelle Rogers, 2008
Context: Michelle was visiting us in AZ and we went out to Joes Farm Grill for lunch and she order the Double Dog Basket. Michelle takes a bite of her hot dog and literally as her eyes roll back in her head she says her quote in a sing-song voice while pointing at the hot dog.

 ”If you were a true gamer you wouldn’t need to know how to turtle tap.”-Jarrod Rogers, 2007  
Context: We had purchased the Wii and dowloaded old school Super Mario Brothers. As we were playing we remembered that you could “turtle tap” on a level and get numerous free guys. We just couldn’t figure out how to do it and thought, of course Jarrod would know. We gave Jarrod a call and instead of explaining how to do it, Jarrod said his quote.

“My women understands how important Halo is to me”-Jarrod Rogers, 2007  
Context: Justin was telling Jarrod that he had purchased the game Halo. Jarrod wanted to know how he was doing on the game. Justin said that he hadn’t really gotten a chance to play because he was spending some time with his wife, Michelle.  Jarrod didn’t quite understand and at this point said his quote.

“It’s still not better than Guiness”-Dominic Del Carlo, 2005 
Context: Dominic’s response after tasting any beer, Steve finds this incredibly funny.

“I am a German chocolate man, I am a German chocolate man, I am a German chocolate man”-Randy Harris, 2005
Context: We were in LA at the cheescake factory and Uncle Randy had ordered his German chocolate cheescake and was very excited about it. While eating it he kept repeating his quote- not exactly realizing he was saying it over and over again.

“You need to make sure you buy a ladder that can hold your weight.”-Pat Mooney, 2002 
Context: Pat giving Steve advice on what kind of ladder to purchase.

“It holds only 225 pounds? Wimpey Ladder.”-Reggie Harris, 2002  
Context: Reggie walks and sees the new ladder that we have purchased. There’s a label on it that says weight limit: 225lbs. Reggie proceeds to say his quote all while standing on the second rung and bouncing up and down.

“Yeah- I want to get a suite. How much is that gonna cost me?”-Justin Rogers, 2002  
Context: A group of us were heading to LA for the weekend. Justin put himself in charge of finding us a hotel to stay in as he was trying to find a “good deal.” We are all listening to him while he is on the phone trying the “negotiate” a deal when he says his quote. If you know Justin, you can assume he didn’t ask very eloquently. Let’s just say that we got a good “deal.” We arrived at the hotel and it was literally in “the ghetto” (we were told that the movie”Training Day” was filmed just a couple blocks away). The numbers were not screwed in all the way on the doors, therewere holes in the walls. Justin’s highlight of the trip was going to the liquor store down the street and getting free ice with his purchase.

“I don’t really care, Fred.”-Kit Lake, 2001  
Context: This is the ultimate “had to be there” quote. The story is, Fred was talking about some speakers hehad recently blown. He asked Kit very excitedly “do you want to see them?” He proceeded to get up as he assumed Kit’s answer would be yes… from Kit’s quote you can tell he had absolutely no interest in seeing them.

“I guess I saved the day!”-Steve Mooney, 2000  
Context: Thanksgiving in Chicago. Mary Ellen asks Steve to straighten a candle sconce, as he does this he proclaims his quote. Everyone thought it was funny because it was the perfect time to quote the movie, Billy Madison.

“It’s not my problem”-Ray Fabien
Context: Any time someone says something to Ray that doesn’t affect him he says this quote.
